McGowan wants ‘tangible outcomes’ for our electorate

TANGIBLE outcomes for Indi from an investigation into regional development and decentralisation will be one of the key focuses for Indi member Cathy McGowan (MHR, Indi) as she moves forward on the crossbench of a likely minority government.

Independent candidate Kerryn Phelps is in the box seat to win the Wentworth by-election (1554 votes at 3.30pm yesterday), stripping the seat from the Liberal Party – the biggest swing to lose in the Commonwealth Government’s history.

But Ms McGowan is sticking fast to her values she’s held high since first elected in 2013 that “no deals” and “voting on the merits of any given issue” will always be at the forefront.
