WANGARATTA City’s hopes of winning the AWFA league title are all but over after suffering a shocking 6-0 loss to arch rival Myrtleford at South Wangaratta on Sunday.

In close to the biggest regular season match between the pair in league history, the Red Devils were brushed aside by the Savoys, who now hold a four-point lead with two matches remaining.

The Red Devils now need to defeat Cobram and St Patrick’s in the final two games and hope Myrtleford don’t win again if they are to leapfrog the Savoys and claim the league title.
