$2M GO AHEAD: Redevelopment of Sydney Hotel site set to start

A $2 million renovation and partial redevelopment of the Sydney Hotel building, for it to become the new home of the Wangaratta RSL, expects to begin next month.

The RSL’s state executive on Friday gave final approval for the project, and its financing to proceed, after a protracted and meticulous process over the past three years.

Wangaratta RSL sub-branch president Lieutenant General (Retired) Ash Power informed jubilant members on Friday night, saying this was a momentous development for the club, the city, and the wide RSL community.
