    JOSH Newton remains confident he will play some part of the 2019 season despite confirmation that he has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee for the second time.

    A shining light in an otherwise dark season for the Wangaratta Rovers has been snuffed out with Newton receiving news that he will require surgery to repair his ACL.

    It is a cruel blow for the tough inside midfielder who was building into some strong senior form for the last-placed Hawks.
