OVENS and King interleague co-coach Jeremy Wilson is upbeat about his side’s prospects in the 2018 interleague match against the Hume League.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Wilson was pleased with the response from the players of the Ovens and King.
With the likes of Daine Porter, Jack Stamp and Riley Moran headlining the 2018 squad, and showcasing the strength of the list available to Wilson and co-coach Joel Fisher, it is one of the stronger squads that has been put together in recent years.
Injuries and unavailabilities are part and parcel when it comes to interleague but with Stamp, Porter and Moran among the top-10 players in the league it is easy to see the depth available to Fisher and Wilson.
“The response has been great,” Wilson said.
“Daine was among the first to put his hand up to play and that has made it easier to get everyone else across the line.
