MILAWA has stamped its intentions upon the competition, using a third quarter charge to edge ahead of Greta and hold on for the win.

The Demons remain the only undefeated team in the competition after defeating Greta by six goals, 41-35 on Saturday.

The reigning premiers lost their first match since round 11 last year despite holding a narrow advantage for much of the game.

Milawa used a 13-8 third term to grab a four-goal, 31-27 lead at three quarter time- a lead they would add to in the final stanza.

With an unusual output of just 14 goals to Taylah Reidy, who shot just five goals in the second half, the Blues struggled to keep pace with the Demons.

Jo Bate was massive for Milawa in her dogged pursuit of Reidy, with her efforts awarded with best on court honours.
