THERE is significant potential in Wangaratta for further growth in the digital technology sector, according to LaunchVic chief executive officer Kate Cornick.

Ms Cornick on Tuesday visited the GOTAFE Innovation Hub, the Regional Study Centre, the new digital hub in the Wangaratta Library and other key locations throughout the North East to see innovative spaces and partnerships operating in the region.

LaunchVic is a start up agency established by the Victorian Government to help boost economic growth across the state through grant programs.

Ovens Murray Regional Partnership digital lead, Susan Benedyka, said it was exciting to have the LaunchVic chief executive officer visiting key pioneering digital spaces.

“We’re thrilled LaunchVic has accepted our invitation to visit and will be able to see first hand the tremendous energy and collaborative partnerships, facilities and initiatives driving that momentum,” she said.
