A SEVEN-goal second quarter from King Valley buried Moyhu by 91 points at Whitfield on Saturday.
The 20.18 (138) to 7.5 (47) win saw the Roos hold fourth place on the ladder with an impressive 4-1 record.
Stuart Cooper (ribs) kicked five goals in the first half, and Daniel Bruce (thumb) slotted four to push the Hoppers away early in the piece.
A 5.6 to 2.1 opening term had the Hoppers on the back foot, but after a seven goal second term Moyhu found themselves 57 points in arrears at the long break despite captain Jeremy Wilson kicking a freak goal from the left hand pocket.
A further six goals to one in the third term sealed Moyhu’s fate with King Valley holding a 91-point lead at three quarter time.
The Hoppers threw all they had at the Roos in the final term but were unable to cut into the lead, with only King Valley’s horrific accuracy (kicking 2.7 in the final term to Moyhu’s 3.1) keeping the margin from growing further.
