GOULBURN Ovens Institute of TAFE (GOTAFE) chief executive officer Paul Culpan has resigned.
GOTAFE chairperson Joanne Dwyer made the announcement yesterday, saying Mr Culpan will finish at the end of this month.
His resignation comes a week after the State Government announced had ordered an inquiry into GOTAFE and had sent an invoice in January to reclaim $1.7 million in funding related to ‘contractual non-compliance’.
A statement from GOTAFE said Mr Culpan would assist with the transition to an acting CEO and remain available to work with the independent expert appointed by the State Government to review administration at GOTAFE.
The board has seconded Jennifer Oliver as acting CEO, while it conducts an extensive executive search.
