WANGARATTA City FC will host Swinburne FC in the qualifying stage of the FFA Cup in Wangaratta.

In an Albury Wodonga Football Association first, five AWFA teams entered the FFA Cup draw, the most of any previous year, and all five teams have been awarded home games.

The Red Devils and Swinburne will face off next Saturday at South Wangaratta reserve, and will be joined by Twin City Wanderers and Old Ivanhoe who will begin the FFA Cup proceedings.

“I urge everyone who is a supporter of soccer to come down and have a look; this is a different format and we like different.”
