TICKETS to the Essendon versus Richmond AFL preseason game on February 24 at Wangaratta will go on sale early next month in what’s expected to be a sell-out crowd.

Club members will be able to get tickets for the JLT Community Series round one clash from 9am Monday, February 5 through Ticketek, while the general public will have access from 9am Tuesday, February 6.

It will be the second time the two powerhouse clubs play each other in Wangaratta and the last time they met in 2013 Richmond took the honours with the win in front of an 11,000-strong capacity crowd.

But it will be a completely new-look Bombers squad taking on the reigning premiers this time around with several players departing the club since.

Essendon had a more than handy preseason draft picking up free agents Devon Smith (GWS), Adam Saad (GC) and Jake Stringer (WB).

They’ll be keen to make a fresh start at their new club and supporters will be extra keen to be given some hope after tough times.
