THE wait is finally over, with the Ovens and King Football Netball League releasing its official 2018 fixture yesterday.
The 2018 season will launch on Good Friday, March 31, with the now traditional battles between Greta and Moyhu, and Bonnie Doon and Benalla.
The other two Easter weekend clashes see Bright hosting Tarrawingee and North Wangaratta making the trip to King Valley on the Saturday, with the rest of the opening round taking place a week later on April 7.
“It has been quite a large job this year, with several complexities contributing to difficult scheduling,” O&K league manager Zac Hedin said.
“The league received over 30 individual fixture requests from clubs, while also considering neighbouring fixtures such as the Ovens and Murray, Goulburn Valley and TAC Cup.”
After a bumper Easter weekend start to the season, fans don’t have to wait long to see a grand final rematch as Glenrowan will host Benalla All Blacks in round three.
