JOE Thomas stands 6’7” – one inch shorter than LeBron James and the exact height of former English quick Chris Tremlett.
Tremlett took 50 wickets in 12 test matches for England with his massive frame causing havoc with the bounce he created.
Thomas is similar, but he isn’t bowling 135 clicks at your head, instead he is placing it on a good length and watching the batsmen try and adjust to the angle of the delivery.
The 21-year-old spin bowler missed Rovers United Bruck’s first game of the season due to the early start, and the Hawks had the round three bye which allowed him to settle into the country, and his life for the next six months.
Over the three matches Thomas has played he has bowled 51 overs, 24 of which have been maidens.
He has been taken for just 79 runs, with an economy rate of 1.54 runs per over.
