BENALLA All Blacks’ transition from cellar dweller to premiership threat is set to continue beyond this season, with coach Harry Moran having already re-signed the bulk of his list for 2018.

Headlining the list of re-signings for Benalla are Al Jacka, Riley Moran, Jack Ellis, Nich Spencer and Chris Lockhart.

“Those guys are our core players – they are the blokes we are looking to build the team around,” Moran said.

“As soon as I re-signed I made sure to start talking to all of our players about next year, and the fact we have been able to get commitments from our most influential players already is huge for the club.

“These guys are all elite in their own right, but they are very different players who are crucial to our structure.

“We have put a platform in place with what we have achieved this year, and keeping this group together means that we can keep that progression going.”
