A SINGLE mother whose Wangaratta home was allegedly set on fire for the fourth time this year has urged anyone with information to contact police.
The woman, who did not wish to be identified, said she woke up at around 4.15am on Friday to a panicked neighbour who told her the Burke Street house was on fire.
“I got my sons out and ran back inside to grab a bucket, which I filled with water to start putting the flame out,” she told the Wangaratta Chronicle on Friday.
“It’s getting ridiculous.
“This is the fourth time it’s happened in two months.”
Detective Sergeant Michael Dolan of the Wangaratta Crime Investigation Unit said police were treating the fire as “suspicious” and were continuing their investigation.
