    A DETERMINED team effort from Goorambat rained on Hopper veteran Andrew Balfour’s 400th club game out at Moyhu on Saturday, with the Bats winning a nail-biter by two points.

    In a heavily contested game, Goorambat’s physicality over the ball with their hardened bodies won through, but it wasn’t all the visiting Bats’ way early, despite a number of outstanding individual efforts in the first half.

    Goorambat’s seven goals in the first half were all through full forward Cam Symes, including four first quarter majors when the Bats held a narrow four-point lead, 4.1 to 3.3.
