Top two clear of the rest

THE top end of the ladder in Ovens and King football’s reserves competition took a little bit more shape at the weekend, but the logjam remains for prime positions come finals time.

Glenrowan and Bright were the big winners from round 12, with both sides emerging triumphant from crunch battles to shore up the top two spots on the ladder.

But the margin for error is non-existent, with Milawa, Whorouly and Tarrawingee all just one game off top spot, and percentages fairly tightly grouped.

The close game was at Tarrawingee, where the Bulldogs got away to a strong start to lead by 10 points at the first change against Bright.
