STARTING out as an eight year old designing a top for her beloved doll Shirley, Marg Pullen is now a familiar face in Wangaratta’s art scene.
She developed a keen ability to detect the beauty in all aspects of nature during her childhood living on a farm, with flowers and insects now the main inspiration for many of her unique works.
“I can remember going out with Dad in the paddock to help with the fencing,” Marg reminisced.
“I suppose that started my interest in working with wire, bending it and tying things.
“Dad took me fishing one day and gave me a really fine wire to untangle, and I had to do that before I could even cast out the line.
“That is how I learned a lot about being patient and persistent because it took me ages to do it but I did it.”
