HEARTLESS thieves have targeted a local business for a quick cash grab, stealing a donation tin and cash register.
Wangaratta Plaza Bakery was broken into on Sunday afternoon, with thieves taking a cash register from the premises along with a Good Friday Appeal donation tin.
Owners Krystal and Scott Butler, who took over the business around 10 months ago, said while the theft was a blow for the business, the theft of the donation tin was “horrible”.
“It’s just disappointing,” Mrs Butler said.
“It’s been a hard year. First we had IGA close and now this…it’s been tough.
“We had a tin on the front bench for the Good Friday Appeal that’s also been taken.
“It almost makes me more angry that they took that than what they took from us.”
