LOCAL winemakers are celebrating their success, having just hosted the biggest and best La Dolce Vita festival in the event’s history.

Wines of the King Valley executive and marketing officer Alison Lloyd said 3900 tickets were sold for this year’s festival, and she estimates there were a further 500 children and non-drinkers in attendance.

She said those figures alone made it the most successful La Dolce Vita festival since it began around 13 years ago.

“We credit the success of this year’s festival to a strong, unified marketing campaign for the King Valley wine brand, as well as the excellence of the experience offered at each of our 11 participating wineries,” she said.
