LEDGER Racing enjoyed home track success on Tuesday with I’m Ready For This winning race seven by three lengths at Mason Park Funerals’ Seniors Day at the Wangaratta Turf Club.

Incredibly, in his first race over 1590 metres, I’m Ready For This led from start to finish on a heavy-nine track.

The six-year-old gelding was carrying one kilogram more than second-placed Get Ya Kicks, and 3.5kg more than third-placed First Draft to take out $9600 prize money.

“We always thought he could run well over the mile, but it had to be the right race and at the right time of his preparation.

“He is a great horse – this is the 10th start in his campaign and he has never done that in his life.
