Fun time for all

IT WAS A HELL OF A RIDE Wangaratta teenagers Lachlan Chaplan (left) and Jesse Hurley were literally in a spin on the Rebel ride on Friday, and were among thousands of people to enjoy the annual Wangaratta Show.

THERE were smiles everywhere at this year’s Wangaratta Show.

The rain stayed away on Friday – with even better spring weather helping attract good numbers on Saturday – which brought smiles to the faces of organisers, as a just reward for 12 months of effort.

Patrons too, were smiling, with all rides and attractions in sideshow alley unimpeded by the weather, and even some horse events able to proceed.

For Wangaratta’s Reuven (6) and Holly (4) Holmes-Brown, netting Nemos to win a prize was a popular choice, together with a visit to the circus, jumping castles, and of course Ninja Turtles showbags.

Dad Jonothon fessed up that he probably loved the show more than his kids, and wife Sarah.

“For me it’s the rides and the traditional show food….dagwood dogs, curly potatoes…it’s a great show and we’re happy to support it,” he enthused.
