TWO drivers escaped without any serious injury on Monday morning after one of the drivers failed to give way at one of Wangaratta’s busiest intersections.
Senior Sergeant Travis Carroll of Wangaratta police said a male driver in his 60s failed to give way to oncoming traffic as he was attempting to turn left into Ryley Street from Greta Road at around 8.30am.
“He has veered into the path of oncoming traffic and the car of a single occupant, an 18-year-old P plate driver, who was in the right,” Sen Sgt Carroll said.
Fortunately neither were seriously hurt.
The male driver received an infringement notice for failing to give way.
