WANGARATTA teenager Jordyn Parker Richards (pictured) plans to shave all her hair off in honour of grandparents.

Jordyn is joining next month’s Shave for a Cure for the first time, hoping to raise money for cancer research.

Her motivation is personal – both of her grandfathers died from blood cancer aged 50, before she was born, and she is doing it as a tribute to them, as well as her grandmother he fought and won her own cancer battle.

Last year she did the 40 Hour Famine, because to her “it didn’t seem like too much of a sacrifice”.

“There are people going hungry all the time everywhere around the world, and now I figured I may as well cut my hair off because I don’t use it that much,” she said.

Jordyn plans to shave all her off with a number one clipper on March 12.
