A WANGARATTA woman has died and two other local people had to be revived by paramedics following two separate incidents on Saturday.
The two people – a man and a woman aged 22 and 35 – were brought back to life after taking illicit drugs and being found by a neighbour.
Paramedics attended the Wangaratta address at 2pm on Saturday and found the two were not breathing.
They were revived at the scene and conveyed to Wangaratta Base Hospital.
In a separate incident a 30 year old woman was found deceased at a different location, but coincidently, also at 2pm.
Detective Sergeant Michael Dolan of Wangaratta Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) said police are investigating whether or not drugs were involved with the fatality.
He said a post-mortem was conducted on the Wangaratta woman’s body on Monday and it will help determine the cause of death, along with toxicology report results that will take a few weeks.
“There is nothing to suggest that both incidents were linked, but police are investigating this,” he said.
