RYAN Breese has moved to eight fights, eight wins to remain undefeated and the World Boxing Association Asia Pacific Continental champion.
The former Wangaratta local was pushed to the limit when he fought Jayde Mitchell at the Town Hall, Malvern last Friday night.
Mitchell was coming up against Breese with five fights for five wins, and challenging for Breese’s Asia Pacific title.
The fight was a war, Breese’s father and trainer, Rick Breese said.
“The fight went for 10 rounds,” Rick said.
“It was a war, they went hard at each other the whole time.
“Jayde Mitchell is a slippery fighter and was able to manoeuvre Ryan around the ring how he pleased.
“I told Ryan to not fight off his back foot and take it up to him off the front foot.
“Ryan had a bit of trouble with him, but he won and he will learn from that.”
Breese won on a majority points decision, from three judges scoring the fight, 95-95, 96-95 and 98-94.
