LA Dolce Vita lived up to its meaning once again with thousands of visitors flocking to the King Valley wineries over the weekend for a taste of ‘the sweet life’.

Alison Lloyd, executive and marketing officer for Wines of the King Valley, said the local wineries were thrilled at the numbers this year.

“There were lots of happy visitors throughout the valley enjoying its hospitality and beauty,” she said.

Michael Dal Zotto, chief executive officer at Dal Zotto Wines said visitor numbers were up at his family’s winery by around 30 per cent on Saturday compared to last year with numbers about the same on Sunday.

“It has been a really good crowd,” he said.

“The weather has been magnificent and we have been blown away.

“It speaks volumes for what the Wines of the King Valley committee have achieved.”

He added that visitors seemed very happy to move from winery to winery to soak up as much variety and atmosphere as they could.
