RIDES, sideshows, fluffy and scaly animals proved popular again despite several show goers and stallholders reporting that numbers were down on the weekend.
It was the 151st annual Wangaratta Show and organisers were “very pleased” with the overall result and feedback.
Friday night again proved the most popular time, with locals making the most of the balmy weather to take their children to enjoy the show.
The fireworks was the main attraction again with show president Bernie Evan reporting that the showgrounds were “packed”.
“Friday drew a great crowd that seemed equal to last year, but Saturday numbers, especially on the west side of the grounds, were fewer,” Mr Evans said.
“It was lovely to see the families enjoying the atmosphere on Friday and a lot of people with younger kids came on Saturday.”
