KIWI John Hepburn left Winton Motor Raceway with a round victory last weekend in the third instalment of the Australian Super Truck Championship.
Hepburn took the victory by just one point over Steven Zammit after close racing throughout the weekend.
Zammit won the opening two races before Hepburn prevailed in race three with a daring overtaking move over Hepburn before he was triumphant in the final super prix race of the weekend.
The trucks were supported by nine categories which took part in round three of the Victorian Motor Racing Championships.
Wangaratta’s Matt Thewlis survived the carnage in the Pulsar Challenge feature race when Craig Thornton rolled his car at turn five on lap one of 16.
Thewlis qualified sixth in a 17-car field and with the first two sprint races held on the 2.03 kilometre club circuit, Thewlis brought his Pulsar home in fifth place for both.
However, Thewlis fell back to seventh in the 16-lap feature race on the 3km national circuit, bringing his weekend result to sixth outright.
