Off road end to snow trip

P plater misses Snow Road turn

A GIRLS’ trip away to the snow ended abruptly on Saturday morning when the vehicle they were travelling in went through a T intersection at the Hume Freeway off ramp to the Snow Road.

The four women, all aged in their 30s, were bound for Falls Creek when the accident occurred around 10.30am.

Sergeant Glenn Smith from Wangaratta Police said the vehicle appeared to have been driven straight through the T intersection at the Glenrowan north bound off ramp clipping the warning chevrons before going into an embankment and grazing a tree.

“One woman was checked by ambulance officers for lower back pain but refused to attend the hospital while the others appeared unhurt,” Sgt Smith said.

The vehicle received extensive damage to the undercarriage and was towed away.
