THE community has a chance to support the Help Charlie Ciavarella Appeal by booking their tickets to the Milawa Oxley Rotary Club’s superhero fundraising dance at the Oxley Hall this Friday.

The Help Charlie Appeal was started by friends of the Ciavarella family to help support Charlie and his parents Tony and Merryn as the toddler undergoes treatment in Royal Children’s Hospital for a rare immune condition.

Charlie received his bone marrow transplant and new donor stem cells by transfusion on July 30 and a week later all is going to the medical plan according to appeal co-ordinator Sally Rodgers.

The bush dance’s theme reflects Charlie’s passion for comic book heroes and also reflects the very real everyday heroes now helping him, according to organiser Melissa Hebbard, president of the Milawa Oxley Rotary Club.

Tickets are $25 per head, BYO food to share with your table (of 10) and there will be a silent auction held to provide a break from the dancing.

For more information and bookings contact Melissa on 0417 368 885.

You can also help the Ciavarella family by visiting the website helpcharlie.com.au, or donate through a special WAW Credit Union account: Help Charlie Fundraiser, BSB: 803 070, Account: 89455.
