WANGARATTA’S redeveloped Co Store is starting to fill, eight months after its official reopening.
While vacant spaces remain around the new entrance on Ovens Street, there has been strong interest in those with Reid Street frontage, and an area previously occupied by The Reject Shop.
Clothing chain Jeanswest recently moved into a shop space fronting Reid Street, from its previous position in Murphy Street.
“I believe it’s now one of the (chain’s) largest stores in Victoria,” Garry Nash First National director Mike Noble said.
In addition, Mr Noble said Sportsmans Warehouse would soon relocate from Reid Street to a shop in the Co Store with Ovens Street frontage.
And Australian Hearing, which offers services for people with hearing difficulties, will move from Tara Court in Ford Street to the Co-Store.
“We are talking to a national food brand about a lot of the remainder of the former Reject Shop space,” Mr Noble said.
