AN exhibition showcasing the dynamic line work of master printmaker Kim Westcott, is now on display at the Wangaratta Art Gallery.
“It’s All Intertwined: Kim Westcott – a survey exhibition” includes some of the artist’s most important pieces, as well as introducing a series of her latest work.
As a leading Australian artist, Kim has received acclaim through a number of major awards and is internationally recognised and collected.
Yet she says it’s fitting to be holding a survey exhibition in Wangaratta, having spent the last 14 years living a rural lifestyle in the Warby Range after moving from Melbourne.
“Since being here I have been totally influenced by the environment in which I’m living, so my work has grown, changed and developed accordingly,” she said.
“While I’ve been part of group exhibitions at the gallery before this is the first survey exhibition I’ve done, so to have it here and to have the support of the gallery is terrific.”
