A big effort from young Griffin

HE may only be 11, but Wangaratta’s Griffin Fraser doesn’t take things for granted.

And he certainly is a man of action – which is not limited to his love of basketball and cricket.

Griffin recently organised a fundraiser to support Ronald McDonald House (RMH).

The Parkville facility has provided the Fraser family with a comfortable ‘home away from home’ during their many visit s to the Royal Children’s Hospital and Epworth Hospital since Griffin was three months old.

And the ‘Host a Roast’ evening on February 28 was all about Griffin and his family helping to give something back.

After seeing a flyer for a ‘Host a Roast’ fundraiser in the Parkville RMH, Griffin, known to be “a bit quiet at times”, asked his parents if the family could hold one, and two months later, it was on.

“We were blown away with it, before we knew it we had 70 people in our backyard and over $2000 raised,” said Griffin’s mum Sonya.
