Ross takes up advisory role

Regions can house city dwellers

A VERY fast train would help regional Victoria grow and relieve the pressure on Melbourne.

That’s the opinion of Brown Brothers executive director Ross Brown, who has been selected as part of an eight person board to advise the State Government on regional development.

According to Minister for Regional development, Jaala Pulford, the board will help identify priorities to drive jobs, investment and growth in regional Victoria.

It will be chaired by former Victorian premier John Brumby and will meet four times over the course of the review into regional development.

Mr Brown said he was excited to be part of the board.

“It’s quite a privilege to be asked to sit on a board like this,” he said.

“It’s pleasing the new state government has this focus on regional development.”
