CO-STORE management is keen to see installation of improved directional signage to encourage use of Wangaratta’s new multi-deck car park.
Centre manager Gary Quig said there had been some discussions with the Rural City of Wangaratta about the need for signs directing motorists to car park access in Victoria Parade.
“Usage so far has been mixed – there have been some good days and some poor days, but I think everybody is getting used to the process,” Mr Quig said.
“It now runs in line with on-street parking, with no charge on Saturday afternoons and Sundays, and I think it’s just a matter of people getting used to it, and being aware of access off Victoria Parade.
“It hasn’t been strongly signposted – there is only signage on the store – so we are hoping to get some signage around the streets to point to it.
“We need council support to put up individual signs, and they are receptive for discussion of that.”
