AN in-form Wangaratta City will go into Sunday’s clash with Albury City looking for back-to-back wins.

The Devils sit just one point behind Albury City on the table and the two teams played out a draw earlier in the season, but coach Mario Antonello said his team is in a better position this time.

“We’re probably reasonably confident because of the results over the past few weeks,” he said.

Wangaratta City came from behind to record a team-lifting win over Myrtleford last week and will have to back it up against an Albury City team full of pace through the midfield.

Antonello said about five players who were not in the Devils’ side last time the two teams played, like Jon Shaw and Sean Austin, are among the quickest in the team and will help match the opposition’s pace.

Wangaratta City will have a fully fit squad to choose from with captain, Elliott Jones, also returning from his one-week suspension for receiving five yellow cards.

Antonello also missed last week’s game with suspension, but said he would play reserves then come off the bench in the seniors.
