Fully fit list ready for clash with United

THEY’VE wiped the slate clean and Wangaratta City Devils are looking to build on the momentum they began for the second half of the Albury Wodonga Football Association season in last week’s 2-all draw with Melrose FC.

Playing their best match of the season, the Devils lined up with 11 players putting up a solid contest for two halves.

The Devils led 2-0 before Melrose nabbed two late goals in the game, and co-coach Mario Antonello said the team would work on stamping out any late chances Albury United might plan in this Sunday’s clash.

“I still think we did well in some games in the first half of the season,” Antonello said.

“For us the issue might be defence because we let those goals get through but whether it is our defence or it’s our midfielders not getting there to help out, we’re not sure yet.

“When we go forward on the counter, we go hard so that seems to be working for us at the moment and we feel like we’re getting somewhere.”
