WOOLWORTHS has chosen a site on the corner of Vincent and Tone Roads for its planned construction of a service station.
The development application for the proposed petrol site, a currently vacant block at 73-83 Tone Road (pictured), went on exhibition yesterday.
It outlines development of four petrol dispensers, as well as one for LPG, a small kiosk, four underground fuel tanks, 10 parking spaces, one loading bay, and signage around the servo.
It’s proposed the facility will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as one of more than 500 co-branded Caltex-Woolworths service stations.
If it goes ahead the servo will be the city’s second 24 hour station, where discount fuel dockets can be used.
The development application mentions the site’s suitability to the area, particularly in relation to the strategies of the South Wangaratta Urban Renewal Program.
