WANGARATTA’S new Target outlet will stock a similar range to the Albury store, according to Co-Store centre manager Gary Quig.

The Ovens Street store, currently being constructed to adjoin the existing Co-Store complex, was initially planned as a Country Target outlet.

But Mr Quig said it would now stock a wider offering when it opened its doors in late August.

A number of major national retailers have also signalled their interest in joining Target on the site, and Mr Quig said he expected tenants to be announced in about a month.

“It is just a matter of having a few of them signed off,” he said.

“That will then give an insight into the type of traders that will be seen in the complex, and will hopefully attract interest from local traders.

“What we want is a good mix of national and local businesses.”
