COLLINGWOOD strategist, Rodney Eade, will this Saturday head a host of high-profile speakers at the Wangaratta Magpies’ event, ‘AFL Live on the Balcony’.

As part of the carnival-like atmosphere around the Collingwood versus Richmond preseason match, the club has secured the services of Eade for a panel of stars, which include former Tiger Chris Naish and young Magpie pair Paul Seedsman and Patrick Karnezis.

Eade is a former Hawthorn premiership player and Western Bulldogs senior coach.

Seedsman is an exciting prospect with strong family links to the Magpies, while Karnezis has been recruited from Brisbane Lions.

The pre-match entertainment in the function rooms starts at 3pm and continues until game-time, then begins again during the half-time break.

Event coordinator, Joe McKenzie, said it was well-supported.

“We’re already sold out,” he said.

“Local supporters have really got behind this year’s event and it’s sure to be a great afternoon.”
