A WOMAN was trapped in her car for 25 minutes last night after ploughing her car into a pole at the front of the Coles/Kmart car park.

The 21 year old from Wangaratta suffered minor leg injuries in the crash and State Emergency Service volunteers had to cut her out of the car.

Acting Sergeant Mick Maley, of Wangaratta police, said it appeared the woman was travelling west along Tone Road at about 5.30pm when she cut in front of a ute in the left lane.

“She’s cut in front of him and he’s clipped her,” he said.

The ute hit the back of her Hyundai, causing it to run off the road to the left and into a pole.

Act Sgt Maley said police were yet to determine if speed or other issues were a factor in the crash.
