Sisters ready for school

TWINS CAN’T WAIT FOR SCHOOL: Ellie and Georgia Meggs will tackle another milestone together when they start school tomorrow. PHOTO: Leah Tindill

THERE will be no first day nerves for twins Ellie and Georgia Meggs when they kick off their prep year at Wangaratta West Primary School tomorrow.

“They are pretty excited, and definitely ready to go,” mum Kristy said.

The pair will join preps across Wangaratta this week who are waving goodbye to their parents as they embark on one of their biggest moments.

But, having watched big sister Millie negotiate school for the last two years, Mrs Meggs said the girls “know what it’s all about”.

“I think they’re just looking forward to playing with new people and making new friends, and things like playing on the playground,” she said.

“We live close by, and they’ve been going to playgroup at the school too, so they are pretty comfortable there, and that makes the transition easier.

“They’re certainly not nervous, and because they’re that little bit older and have each other, I think that’s why they’re so confident in going.”
