LOCAL party supply stores and costume hirers enjoyed one of their busiest days of the year this week as footballers and netballers across the region celebrated the end of the season with Mad Monday get-togethers.
No club enjoyed the day more than Milawa, with players earning a day off work and a couple of quiet drinks after winning six O&K premierships.
For the footballers, the West Side Tavern was the place to be on Monday, as players dressed up as characters from movies, video games and comic books and enjoyed watching their grand final win on the big screen.
The netballers, meanwhile, had a ladies’ day at the Railway Hotel, with a sea of color greeting patrons of the establishment with all of the girls dressed in red.
Dressed as Mini Mouse and Iron Man, Lexi Young and Lacie Newton soaked up Mad Monday.
Milawa ladies enjoyed their premiership celebrations.
