PAUL Dale (pictured right) says an admission by Roberta Williams that her ex-husband Carl Williams lied to police about the Hodson murders is finally getting to the truth.
The Wangaratta businessman, and former police detective once charged with ordering the murder of police informer Terrence Hodson, said the revelations in Saturday’s edition of The Australian, corroborating Williams made everything up against him, should serve as further proof to his innocence.
“In my mind I feel finally, a person with absolute intimate knowledge of Williams, has come out and told the truth,” he told the Wangaratta Chronicle on the weekend.
“I had nothing to do with the Hodson murders.
“Victoria Police had tunnel vision from the start and wanted to get me.”
The Chronicle contacted Victoria Police on the weekend about the revelations, but they had no comment to make.
