IF anyone needed a reminder of just who is ruling the roost in the Ovens and King Football League in 2013, they needed look no further than the utter demolition Milawa performed on Moyhu on Saturday.

It’s often the case in football that the scoreboard can flatter one side or the other and not accurately reflect what happened out on the field.

This was not one of those occasions.

Milawa defeated Moyhu 26.23 (179) to 9.9 (63) – 49 scoring shots to 18, a 116-point annihilation.

That says it all really, but there is more to the tale.

For instance, the Hoppers were coming off sensational wins over Glenrowan and Tarrawingee, and were fighting to secure a spot in the top four.

And bear in mind that Milawa had six forced changes from the side that thrashed Whorouly last week.
