WANGARATTA City star Steffan Joseph reinforced his status as one of the competition’s most devastating players with a stunning five-goal haul in his side’s win over St Patrick’s on Sunday.
Joseph was unstoppable against the bottom side in the Albury/Wodonga Football Association, ramming home four goals in the first half before finishing with five in the 7-1 rout.
The Englishman had missed the past two matches through suspension but wasted little time making his presence felt.
Wangaratta City coach Jon Shaw said Joseph’s performance was from the top shelf.
“Steff was in a different class to everyone else,” he said.
“Nobody would have been able to stop him yesterday.
“Yes we did play the bottom side but he would have put in four or five against a top side.
“I think he was making up for lost time with the suspension.”
