100-goal milestone not a high priority for superboot Sessions

OVENS and King goal kicking machine Brendan Sessions is closing in on a sixth season of 100 goals or more, however, the King Valley coach says that achievement isn’t a high priority.

Sessions leads the goal kicking table with 85 majors and looks likely to be the only man capable of reaching triple figures this year with Whorouly’s Richie Leahy the next best with 71.

The Roos play Bonnie Doon and Goorambat in the final two rounds and with a top four spot sewn up they will have at least four games remaining for Sessions to kick the 15 goals required for his century.

But the first-year coach said kicking goals himself wasn’t anywhere near as important as team success.

“I haven’t really thought about it,” he said.

“It’s not something that has even been mentioned yet.

“I only played three quarters on Saturday (against Greta) and as long as the side keeps winning I’ll be happy.”
