Sheahan hoping to make return against archrival

IN REHAB: Hawk star Jamie Sheahan runs away from Chris Hyde in round five.

WANGARATTA Rovers midfielder Jamie Sheahan has set his sights on making his return against Wangaratta in round 17 as he continues his rehabilitation from a quad injury.

Sheahan suffered the injury against Myrtleford in round nine but re-injured it ahead of the round 13 loss to Lavington.

The influential ball winner has been sorely missed by the Hawks but he is confident of getting himself right and having an impact when he returns.

“Rehab is going along alright at the moment,” he said.

“I’ve got a program from the physio so I’m just following that at the moment.

“I’m not really sure when I’ll be back at the moment but I’m hoping to play against Wangaratta.

“I haven’t missed this many games of footy in a row before so it is frustrating.

“Hopefully I can get back playing and have a really big finish to the season.”
