WANGARATTA suffered a reality check in its Ovens and Murray netball clash with Wodonga on Saturday, going down to the flag favorites by 27 goals at the Norm Minns Oval.

Having come off a big win over Wodonga Raiders, coach Sue Witham was confident her side could match it with the red-hot Bulldogs.

Witham even said her side had what it took to knock off Wodonga, although she was more looking towards a solid four-quarter effort.

However, except for the first quarter, the Magpies were largely outplayed by Wodonga, which romped to a 68-41 victory.

Rebecca Cameron was again the star of the show for the visitors, slamming home 35 goals while Bridget Hawkey chimed in with 23.

Wangaratta’s best were shooting duo Emma Witham and Jessica Allen.
